In four thematic work packages, i.e. SMART will carry out the following concrete activities:

i.e. SMART glossary

‘SMART points’ = regional centres of competence in the seven i.e. SMART regions (integrated into regional policy and institutionalised by project closure) to train business idea owners (emerging entrepreneurs) in a new multi-disciplinary approach to innovation and entrepreneurship by merging thinking styles, and competences across economic sector-specific borders.

‘SMART network’ = a transnational management structure (integrated into regional policy and institutionalised by project closure) that will link the regional SMART points to spread and share the new multi-disciplinary approach to innovation and entrepreneurship to six CENTRAL EUROPE Member States.

‘Train the SMART Trainers’ = a transnational training programme for staff members at the regional ‘SMART points’ so that they can deliver the new multi-disciplinary approach to innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly in the ‘transformative business approach‘ to regional business idea owners (emerging entrepreneurs).
The programme will be developed and run by internationally renowned trainers/coaches/experts.
The programme will be evaluated and a joint transnational strategy and action plan for future training programmes will be compiled. -
‘SMART campus’ = a transnational training campus for regional business idea owners in the emerging sustainable economic sectors: Creative Industries, Green Economy, and ICT.
The campus will bring together regional business idea owners (emerging entrepreneurs) with their counterparts in other partner regions, as well as with existing entrepreneurs, advisers on EU legislation and financial legislation, and potential business stakeholders.
The campus will be developed and run by internationally renowned trainers/coaches/experts.
The campus will be evaluated and a joint transnational strategy and action plan for future campuses will be compiled. -
‘SMART site’ = a multi-lingual, interactive, transnational knowledge management tool (ICMS) containing state of the art information on the ‘transformative business approach‘ to innovation and entrepreneurship as well as state of the art information on the three emerging sustainable economic sectors.

‘SMART plan’ = a joint transnational strategy and action plan that will lead to the institutionalisation of the i.e. SMART concept, approach, outputs (the ‘SMART points’, the ‘SMART network’, ‘Train the SMART Trainers’, the ‘SMART campus’, and the ‘SMART site’) by project closure.
